The idea for my next animated short film was based on a character I created in college. It was basically about a boy who wears his heart on his sleeve. (As seen in the previous post's illustration) The plan was create an illustrated story book first with a short film to follow right after. The book was published in August 2011 by Freak Show Studios. It was entitled "Henry: The Heart Boy" and consisted of 52 pages with full color illustrations and Dr. Suess-esque rhyming couplets.
The cover can be seen below.
I took the book to many conventions where it was well received and even got a lot of people saying that it should made into an animated short film.
*In the next post I'll talk about adapting the book into a film.
From now until Dec 31, 2012 you can show your support for the HTHB film and get your name in the credits of the NEW animated short film "Henry: The Heart Boy" when you buy one "Henry: The Heart Boy" ILLUSTRATED STORY BOOK!
